For Immediate Release CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES FOR CPAs INTRODUCED BY RIVERS INSURANCE GROUPFormer CPA and licensed insurance professional Parsippany, NJ – November 15, 2010 – Rivers Insurance Group of Parsippany has begun providing continuing education classes to Certified Public Accountants, enabling accountants to earn continuing education units (CEUs) while gaining in-depth knowledge about business insurance that will allow them to provide added value to their clients. Rivers Insurance principal, Harvey Topitz, is licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy to provide continuing education classes under management advisory services (MAS). Each class is worth two CEUs. Topitz has been an insurance broker since 1982 and also earned his CPA in the early 1980s. He founded Rivers Insurance Group in 2005 and decided to offer continuing education classes to CPAs to provide them with greater knowledge of the complicated and continuously changing insurance coverage arena, thereby enabling them to better serve their clients. Topitz maintains expertise in all sectors of insurance, including property, liability, automobile, excess/umbrella policies, worker’s compensation, crime, benefits and entertainment. Topitz’ current class is titled Commercial Property Insurance for the Non-Insurance Professional. The class is held onsite at participating firms. Future classes will include:
